Dr. Welter has been a doctor at the Animal Clinic in Iowa City since graduating from Iowa State University in 1975. Dr. Welter and his wife, Michele, have three children and three grandchildren and have a cat named Kit Kat
Dr. Welter loves what he does and wanted to be a veterinarian since the age of seven. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, surgery, dermatology, internal medicine and dentistry. Dr. Welter enjoys meeting new clients and seeing old friends with their pets regularly.
Dr. Welter enjoys gardening, golf, traveling, and cheering on his alma mater, ISU.

Dr. Gaeth has been a veterinarian at the Animal Clinic since 1992. Dr. Gaeth and her husband, Gary, have three daughters and 4 grandchildren. They have two cats, Gweneviere and Excalibur and two dogs, Gem, a Gordon Setter and Ella, an English Setter.
Dr. Gaeth enjoys all aspects of small animal practice and has special interests in behavior, internal medicine, dermatology, and acupuncture.
In her free time, Dr. Gaeth enjoys yoga and pilates. Her favorite time is spent outdoors at the family cabin snowshoeing, kayaking, fishing, and photographing wildlife.
Dr. Gay has been practicing at the Animal Clinic since 1993. Dr. Gay and his wife, Anne, have three children and have a yellow lab named Millie.
Dr. Gay enjoys all areas of veterinary medicine, general surgery and dentistry. Dr. Gay has a special interest in preventive care.
Dr. Gay’s hobbies include boating, bicycling, and raising Angus cattle. And he enjoys civic and family activities.
Julie has been part of the Animal Clinic team since 1986, when she started her career. She holds various roles as clinic administrator and veterinary technician. Julie and her husband, David, have a cat named Hermione.
She and David are avid bowlers and always look forward to their annual cruises in the Caribbean.
Chris has been a part of the team since 2003 as a registered veterinary technician. He graduated from Kirkwood Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in the Veterinary Technician Program. Chris and his wife, Traci, have one daughter. They have two cats, Hagrid and Charlie, and one dog, Inanna, a Newfoundland.
As a technician Chris is involved with assisting in the exam room, dental and surgical procedures, and client communications.
Chris enjoys playing pool, spending time at the Iowa City Dog Park with his dog, and participating in Mud Runs.
